South & Central Lake Country in the Winfield area
- The Lake Country Visitor Centre is located on Main Street.
- From Main Street you can park your car and take a walk to enjoy the sites and sounds of downtown Winfield and Swalwell Park.

- Check out the local stores in the shopping centres or cross the highway and visit the local Farmer’s Fruit and Produce to shop for fresh, local produce.
- On main street is the Video Express, walk down the stairway behind their parking lot to begin the Art Walk

- The Art Walk is a short scenic walk from the shopping centre to Swalwell Park. While walking to the park you’ll pass many sculptures and pieces of art. *Note: The murals at the rear of IGA as you continue your walk towards the park.
- In Swalwell Park appreciate the two exquisite Asian-influenced stone sculptures
- The Farmer’s Market takes place in this park from June – September on Fridays from 3pm-7pm.
- Stroll around the surrounding areas and visit the many buildings along Bottom Wood Lake Road, including, Creekside Theatre and the Lake Country Municipal Building and the Library.
- Follow Main Street to begin the tour of Lake Country starting with the local Lake Country Art Gallery

This local art gallery displays exhibitions from local and regional artists. From paintings, sculptures and multimedia designs this gallery will allow for a unique and specifically a Lake Country experience.
Continuing the Tour:
- Following Bottom Wood Lake Road, turn right on Woodsdale Road
Site 3: Reiswig and Beasley Parks
- These parks feature soccer fields, volleyball courts, flat walking track, washrooms, change rooms and a public beach with swimming and a picnic area. This area is a great place for children and the entire family to spend the day on a hot Okanagan day.
North Lake Country in the Oyama area
Continuing the Tour:
- Exit Reiswig and Beasley parking lot, and turn left on Woodsdale road
- Follow the road to the T intersection and turn left on Oyama Road
- Follow Oyama road and enjoy the agricultural and orchard lands along the way.

- From Oyama Road turn right at Middle Bench road and keep right until you turn left at Todd road. Take the second right onto Oyama Lake Road they are 2kms up.
Oyama ‘s newest attraction, The Oyama Zip line Forest Adventure offers a 2-3 hours tour from 7 zip lines, 3 towers and 2 rope bridge. Having the highest and longest zip lines in BC it will give you a magnificent view of Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake and the orchards and vineyards of central Okanagan.

- On Oyama Lake Road follow the signs towards Oyama Lake Resort and the road will turn into gravel road

Site 4: Kaloya Regional Park
- Kaloya Park is a beautiful place to relax with the family, and take in the hot Okanagan sunshine and swim in Kalamalka Lake.

- Kalamalka Lake (or Kal, as know by the locals) is unique due to its emerald/greenish colour. The lake contains glacial moraine, which accounts for its peculiar and stunning colour. At Kaloya Park why not take a swim in this beautiful lake?
- Kaloya Park also offers a wonderful children’s playground
- Take a walk around the peninsula and short perimeter trail along Kal Lake.
Continuing the Tour:
- Exit Trask Road and turn right on Oyama Road
- Follow Oyama Road across Highway 97, to go into Gatzke’s Farm Market.
Site 5: Gatzke’s Farm Market

- A working orchard boasts 50 varieties of fruit tress through the seasons and can be purchased through their market

Continuing the Tour:
- From Gatzke’s parking lot turn right on Highway 97
- Follow the highway and enjoy the view of beautiful Wood Lake on your left hand side
- From the highway turn right on Oceola Road

- If it is fruit season, consider stopping in one of the several fruits stands or U-Pick Orchard along the route.

Oceola Road eventually changes its name to Okanagan Centre Road E which then later becomes Okanagan Centre Road W. The roadways remain the same but continue to enjoy the captivating views of

Optional Tour Extension: To continue the regular driving without the optional tour, skip and follow through at the ‘continuing the tour’ part.
North Lake Country in the Carr's Landing area
At this point in the tour, there is an option to extend the Lake Country Driving Tour due North towards Carr’s Landing. This extension will add approximately 19 km round-trip to your driving circuit and will feature a visit to
Kopje
Regional
Park
and the community of cars Landing. This extension is not a loop; you will have to return along the same route to continue the tour.
- From Okanagan Centre Road E, turn right on Carr’s Landing Road
- Stay on Carr’s Landing Road to enjoy the amazing views of the lake and its surrounding orchards.
- Turn left into Kopje Regional Park
Optional Site A: Kopje Regional Park
- Have fun at this unique and interesting beach-park on the shores of Okanagan Lake. Lie on the beach enjoying the views of on of Lake Okanagan’s two islands. Also watch the birds as they scavenge for fish along the nearby island.
- Within the Park, Gibson Heritage House can be visited

- The Gibson Heritage house was built during the turn of the 20th century and is a historic structure in the Okanagan.
- Walk through its gardens that surround the house and spot some old farm tools.
- Drive north along Carr’s Landing Road and enter the community of Carr’s Landing.
- Turn left of Terrace View Road to visit Coral Beach Park, which has a boat launch, tennis courts and public washrooms.
- Return on Carr’s Landing road and turn left to reach Chris Malmkvist Art Studio

- To return turn around Carr’s Landing Road, and follow towards Okanagan Centre Road.
