Born and raised in Kelowna, spending that whole time growing up and living in the Rutland area. During her teen years worked in the family owned building supply business, Westside Builders Mart Ltd., which her Parents started in 1978.

After graduating from Rutland Senior Secondary in 1987, Sherri went to work full time at Westside Builders Mart Ltd learning the office, bookkeeping and accounting work from home. Continued on as office manager, controller until 2007 when her family decided to sell the business. She purchased Lake Country Builders Mart Ltd in May 2005 with her brother Kevin, which they ran with the help of Sherri’s husband Keith and Kevin’s family.

In July 2011, Sherri purchased the other half of the business and continues to operate Lake Country Building Centre with the help of her husband Keith as General Manager.

Sherri was an active volunteer while her children were growing up, coaching sports as well as serving as PAC President and on various other school committees.

Sherri was also on the programming committee of CAFÉ (Canadian Association of Family Enterprises)

Sherri enjoys watching all sports especially basketball, hockey and soccer as well as participating in soccer which is her passion.

Sherri has been married for 25 years to Keith and has two children, Ashlee who is a TOC in School District 23 and Jordan who is doing post secondary studies in North Vancouver in Audio Engineering and Music Production

Marvin and his wife Leanne settled in Lake

Country in 1994. For the past 5 years, Marvin has been an advertising consultant for the Kelowna Capital News. Being a long time resident and enjoying the rural lifestyle with his wife and 2 children, Marvin was honoured to be asked to join the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce. He really likes the interaction of dealing with and helping local business owners with their successes.

Kris is the Owner/Operator of: Seca Marine, Seca Watersport School (formerly JD Wakeboard School) and Seca Bloc Distribution.

He is the Director of Canadian Sales for VAS Canada Sea Bloc Distribution. Also the past owner, operator of Deviate Boardshop.

Kris was in the Professional Wakeboarder US Professional Tour from 1999 to 2003.

He has been a permanent resident of Lake Country since 1999. Prior to that he has been vacationing and visiting Lake Country since he was a young child. His wife was born and raised here in Lake Country and they are now raising their own family here.
