Criteria for each of the Business Awards are as follows:

Business Role Model of the year

This local business person is an excellent role,model and is seen as a leader in the business community. Consideration will also be given to a history of business excellence, innovative ideas and their high standards of excellence.   

“Green Award” for Environmental Sustainability
This award honours the business that fosters sustainable business practices and shows leadership in reducing their impact on the environment by identifying, reducing, solving or avoiding environmental problems.

 

Community Involvement                                                                                                                  

This award honours business individuals whose actions and decisions have made a positive impact on the community and who are making social responsibility a part of their daily operations.

 

Creativity in Business 

This award honours a business that has demonstrated exceptional creativity in product development, originality in its operations, marketing, aesthetics and atmosphere.

 

Service Excellence

This award honours the business which has achieved excellence in all facets of their customer service.

 

New Business Champion
This award honours a business that, in its first, second or third year of operation, has demonstrated business excellence in any or all of the following areas: growth, community involvement, created new employment opportunities, expanded or enhanced their facility, sound employee relations and a commitment to customer service.

 

Tourism Enhancement

This award honours a Lake Country-based tourism business that has consistently delivered a top quality product and/or service that has enhanced tourism in the area.

 

Outstanding Contribution to Agricultural

This award honours success with outstanding accomplishment in any field of agriculture, with consideration given to innovation and redefining the industry.

 

Young Entrepreneur

This award honours an outstanding young person in business in Lake Country. Ages to be considered are 18-35.

 

Community Service Contributor

This acertificate recognizes an organization or a not for profit that excels in their commitment to improving our community through their service.

This award honours an individual volunteer who aspires to an exceptional level of commitment & service for the benefit of the residents of Lake country.
